Home remedies to get rid of ringworm

Ringworm causes a red, itchy, round itch on the skin. Over time, it takes the shape of a circle or a ring. Hence the name Ringworm.

Ringworm is contagious dermatitis. It is usually an itchy rash on one part of the body. There may be ringworm in different parts of the body.

In the language of medical science, it is called ‘Dermatophytosis’. It is a contagious disease. Those who have ringworm can spread to others if others use clothes, towels, and towels of infected people.

Natural way to get rid of ringworm

Below are the natural ways to get rid of ringworm –

Soap water:

The area of the ringworm should be kept as clean as possible so that the ringworm does not spread to other parts of the body. The infected area should be thoroughly washed with soap and warm water 2-3 times daily. It will not infect other parts of the body.

Apple Cider Vinegar:

Apple Cider Vinegar has strong antifungal properties, which are very effective in curing ringworm. To use it, soak apple cider vinegar in a soft cloth or cotton and apply it well on the affected area. It should be applied 2-3 times a day.

Coconut oil:

Coconut oil has both microbial and antifungal properties, which are beneficial in treating ringworm infections. Coconut oil is a highly effective home remedy for ringworm and other fungal infections. In this case, coconut oil should be warmed and applied 2-3 times a day on the affected area.

Aloe vera:

Aloe vera is very effective as a natural remedy for both bacterial and fungal infections. Aloe vera relieves herpes, itching and inflammation. Aloe vera gel should be applied 3-4 times daily on the affected area. The gel also has cooling properties, so it can soothe itchy and swollen skin.


Turmeric has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. In this case raw turmeric or turmeric powder should be mixed with water to make a paste. Then it should be applied well on the affected skin.

Tea Tree Oil:

Tea tree oil contains antifungal and antibacterial properties, which are extremely effective in treating fungal skin infections. Mix a small amount of tea tree oil on soft cloth or cotton and apply it on the affected area 2-3 times a day. You can also mix coconut oil with tea tree oil and apply it on ringworm.


Garlic is very useful for curing ringworm. Make a paste by mixing 2 cloves of garlic with olive oil or coconut oil. Then apply the paste in the form of a thin paste on the affected area. If necessary, cover with gauze over the coating.
