Foods to add your diet for breast cancer prevention and foods to avoid

Foods to Add Your Diet:

  1. Dark, green, leafy vegetables ( mainly- spinach, carrots,tomatoes,onions,broccoli, cabbage, peppers, egg plant, cauliflower, kale etc. )
  2. Whole grains ( brown rice, whole wheat breads, oatmeal, whole grain pastas, lentils. )
  3. Starchy foods such as potatoes and sweet potatoes preferably with their skin.
  4. Nuts and beans ( wall nut, almond etc.)
  5. Fish ( salmon, sardines, tuna, small fish. )
  6. Healthy Fats ( Olive oil, Avocados, seeds, nuts.)
  7. Lean meat include ( chicken, turkey.)
  8. Low fat dairy Products( such as- yogurt, cheese, milk-no full cream.)
  9. Fruits ( apples, strawberries, peaches, pears, pomegranate, berries, citrus fruit.)
  10. Green tea

Foods to Avoid:

  1. Alcohol ( drinking alcohol is also a risk factor for the development of breast cancer. beer, wine and liquor could interact with the cancer drugs you take.)
  2. Sweets ( cookies, cake, candies, sodas, rosgolla, sandesh, jilebi, dry sweets and other sugary treats cause weight gain. )
  3. High fat meats and dairy products( beef, pork, lamb, mutton, butter, whole milk and cream.)
  4. Under cooked foods ( cook all meats, fish, and poultry to a safe temperature before eating them. Avoid raw foods like oysters and sushi during your treatment.)
